Engineers considered many aspects such as spring geometry, current handling, mechanical latching, wire size range, crimp optimization, damage prevention, test probe access, installation and removal, wide operating temperature, and sealing and vibration performance. Once this is established, the next step is to consider the connector design, leveraging JAE's proven expertise in manufacturing high quality miniaturized connectors. Mold design, material selection, and assembly are considered in detail.
Most waterproof connectors are large, difficult and expensive to handle in a production environment. Meeting customer demands for small waterproof connectors that are easy to handle and cost-effective has long been a challenge.
Wire-to-board waterproof electrical connectors meet the needs of small waterproof connectors. It is IP67 waterproof according to IEC 60529. It is available with 2.0mm pitch (contact contact) and 4.0mm row spacing for dual row versions. The overall size when wiring is only 30.2mm, and the wire-to-wire series is 21.0m for the PCB version.
Wire-to-board waterproof connector:
Wire-to-board waterproof connectors are available in 2, 3 and 4 positions, offering a similar cost-effective solution by using phosphor bronze tinned socket contacts. Like the wire-to-wire version, the wire-to-board type contact system has a 3 amp rating and can handle 24-22AWG wire. Shrouded headers feature copper alloy tin-plated contacts, are available with vertical or top entry, styles and designs for general use as well as with resignation coated ("package") PC boards. The plug is also designed to accept wires through this connector socket for maximum flexibility.

HRB wire-to-wire waterproof electrical connectors meet the needs of small waterproof connectors. It is IP67 waterproof according to IEC 60529 standard. The double-row type has a pitch of 2.0 mm (contact-to-contact) and a row-to-row pitch of 4.0 mm. The total size of the wire-to-wire series is only 30.2 mm when docked, and the total size of the wire-to-PCB type is 21.0 meters.
